01 — Context
A builder that has made portable, container-based homes for many years, along with security posts, sanitation units and swimming pools for mining sites, resorts and other large operators. Its homes are durable, portable and properly ventilated, and cost a fraction of a traditional house, which puts sound housing within reach of low-income families. The studio is building the website pro bono.
02 — Challenge
The company started with no website, no written content and no photo library. The site has to be in the company’s own language, run by a single non-technical person, take enquiries by phone rather than forms, and fit free hosting and storage tiers.
03 — Approach
Everything managed, nothing hard-coded
Every visible text, image, phone number and list on the public site comes from the admin panel, so the company can grow its content without a developer.
A media library from day one
Photos of finished homes and site facilities are uploaded once and reused across pages, starting from an empty library.
Phone-first enquiries
Leads arrive the way the company already works: a visible phone number with tap-to-call on every page, and no forms or email to maintain.
Specified, then built
Each capability (sign-in for the single admin, content management, media library, public site) is written as a spec first and built test-first, on a layered front-end architecture enforced by lint.
04 — Outcome
In progress. The targets: a complete public site managed entirely from the admin panel, hosting that stays within free tiers, and code that can move hosts without changes. These are targets, not results yet.
